About Avant-Garde Pools and Spas
We built this company because the pool industry was underperforming, and we believed it could be done better. Everything since then has been about proving that.
Philosophy
Why We Built This Company
Avant-Garde means innovative and forward-thinking. That name was not chosen because it sounds good. It was chosen because it describes exactly what motivated the business. The pool industry in Southwest Florida, and across Florida broadly, has a quality problem. Projects are mismanaged. Materials are substituted without discussion. Maintenance is rushed. Water chemistry is guessed at rather than calculated. Clients are handed off to crews they have never met.
We started Avant-Garde because we had seen enough of that. Every project we take on is handled directly by the owners, from the first conversation through to ongoing maintenance. That is not a marketing claim. It is the way we operate and the only way we know how to stand behind the quality of our work.
What Avant-Garde Means
The name is intentional. Avant-garde means at the leading edge, ahead of conventional thinking. In a market where most pool companies are content to do what has always been done, the name is a statement of what we hold ourselves to. Better materials. Better engineering. Better water chemistry. Better communication. Better results that last longer.

Design, engineering, water care, and service planning are treated as one complete system.
Who We Are
Owner-Led, Every Project
Most pool companies grow by hiring project managers to sit between the client and the crew. Communication slows. Details get lost. The person who sold you the project is not the person responsible for how it is built. We deliberately built Avant-Garde so that would never happen. The people you trust with the project are the people responsible for the outcome.
Our Background
The breadth of that experience is what allows us to look at a property and understand immediately what the site needs, what the permitting process will involve, what the soil conditions mean for the build, and what the right materials are for the specific environment. Southwest Florida is not one market. It is six distinct markets with different conditions, and we know all of them.
How We Work
The White Glove Approach
Our entire line of services is built around what we call a White Glove approach. It means the standard of attention and care that most luxury service businesses talk about but few actually deliver consistently. For us it means specific things.
In ConstructionEvery material is specified for the actual conditions of the property and the environment it sits in. Shotcrete, not the cheaper alternative. The correct steel reinforcement, not a lighter gauge to save money. NPC-compliant plaster startup from the first minute water enters the pool, not an approximation of it.
In MaintenanceDigital photometer water testing on every visit, not a test strip held up to the light. LSI-based chemical dosing, not a guess. Orenda enzyme treatment to protect the surface. Equipment checked every visit. Nothing left to chance. In CommunicationYou know what is happening with your project at every stage. If something changes, we tell you why before it changes. If we find something during a visit that needs attention, we tell you what we found and what it means before we recommend anything. You are never in the dark about your own pool.

Industry Standards We Hold Ourselves To
Industry alignment belongs near the top of the brand experience because it signals care, training, and accountability.
NPC
National Plasterers Council
NPC membership means our plaster applications and water chemistry startup protocols meet the standards set by the organisation that the plaster manufacturers themselves endorse. When we apply a surface and manage the startup, the result is a surface that performs as the manufacturer intended. That is not a given with every pool company.

IPSSA
Independent Pool & Spa Service AssociationIPSSA membership reflects a commitment to professional service standards, ongoing technical training, and accountability in pool and spa maintenance. The association exists to raise the standard of pool care across the industry, and membership is a reflection of how seriously we take the maintenance side of our work.

OrendaOrenda TechnologiesOur maintenance programme is built on Orenda’s science-based water chemistry framework, including LSI balancing and enzyme treatment methodology. Orenda’s approach to pool water chemistry is the most technically rigorous framework in the industry, and it is the foundation of every maintenance visit we do.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions: About Us.
Do the owners really handle every project?
Yes. There is no sales team and no project manager sitting between you and the people responsible for the work. You speak with the owners at the consultation, during the build, and through maintenance. That is the model we built the company around and it is not something that changes as we grow.
How long has Avant-Garde been operating in Southwest Florida?
We have been working across Collier and Lee County for more than fifteen years. In that time we have built and maintained pools across Naples, Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, Estero, and Marco Island.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Our contractor license number is CPC1460735. We carry full liability insurance and workers compensation. Documentation is available on request.
What certifications do you hold?
We are NPC members, IPSSA members, and our maintenance programme is built on Orenda Technologies’ water chemistry framework. These are the three most relevant professional standards in pool construction and pool maintenance.
Do you work on high-value residential properties?
Yes. We work across the luxury residential market throughout Southwest Florida, including properties in Port Royal, Pelican Bay, Marco Island waterfront estates, and the major gated communities of Bonita Springs and Estero.
Can you collaborate with our architect or interior designer?
Yes. Many of our projects, particularly in Naples and on Marco Island, are part of broader residential builds or renovations involving architects, interior designers, and landscape firms. We integrate with your existing project team and work to the timeline and design standards already in place.
What makes your maintenance service different?
We test the water with a digital photometer at the start of every visit and calculate the exact chemical dosage using LSI methodology. Most pool companies estimate by eye. That difference is visible in the water within a month and structural in the pool surface within a few years.
How do we get started?
